What Does Information Taste Like?
The way to a man's heart is through his stomach, so it should come as no surprise that the way to anyone's brain is through the tongue. The military is interested in a device known as a Brain Port: a strip of 144 electrodes that can send information through nerves in the tongue to the brain. One user described the sensation to Pop Rocks.
But its not all about the military:
In testing, blind people found doorways, noticed people walking in front of them and caught balls. A version of the device, expected to be commercially marketed soon, has restored balance to those whose vestibular systems in the inner ear were destroyed by antibiotics.
I'm thinking its an even better man/machine interface than the desktop metaphor, keyboard and mouse.

I am an Asst. Cubmaster for Pack 680 at Sacred Heart Church in New Horizons. LOVE the info on your blog! Found it when searching the net for activity ideas for our Pack's upcoming Family Campout at Beaumont. Was wondering if, by any chance, you have an old Family Campout itenerary you could possibly email me? I'm hungry for ideas on things to do to keep all the kids happy/not bored and also specifics of how long each activity should last without being too short/too long, etc. I figured, why reinvent the wheel when you've probably already perfected it!!!

I'll have to look around some but I think I got rid of all my cub stuff when I moved from cub scouts to boy scouts. But even if I don't have anything, I'll email you what I remember.
